Fri, 3/15: 11am-3pm: Feminist POC Wikipedia Takeover!

JustPublics@365, The Graduate Center, CUNY
Feminist POC Wikipedia Takeover!
March 15th, 2013 * 11am - 3pm

Please join us for the Graduate Center's first-ever Feminist POC Wikipedia Takeover! This will be a fun, informal event designed to help those of us who are currently under-represented in Wikipedia learn to edit and contribute to the encyclopedia.

Wondering what we're talking about?

Well, currently fewer than 10% of Wikipedia's editors are women. Let's change that.
Or, perhaps you know an awesome Black feminist writer who just wrote her first book?
Or an important woman of color disability justice activist who needs to be added to the site.
Or, is there an important moment of Trans* activism that's not on Wikipedia?
How about an important documentary or two that needs to be reflected?
If you said yes to any of these questions, then we're looking at you!
This will be a hands-on, learn-as-you-go, collaborative workshop. Just bring a computer, your brains, and your scholarship.
Please join us:
